L'indicatore d'umidità è un misuratore per l'identificazione rapida dell'umidità del materiale da costruzione o del legno, secondo il criterio di resistenza.

Gli elettrodi di misurazione in acciaio, sostituibili in modo semplice, consentono un collegamento affidabile con il materiale da testare e garantiscono misurazioni affidabili durante il rilevamento dell'umidità del legno da taglio e da ardere o il rilevamento dell'umidità del materiale da costruzione morbido come il gesso, la malta o il massetto.

Una scala a barre e la visualizzazione diretta aggiuntiva del valore del volume di umidità in percentuali assolute, semplificano la lettura dei valori di umidità, mentre due scale differenti, per legno e i materiali da costruzione aumentano la precisione.

Per la misurazione dell'umidità del legno, nell'apparecchio è stato inserita una curva di calibrazione, che corrisponde alla media dei tipi di legno rilevanti in Europa sulla base di una temperatura del legno di 20 °C. Quindi, per una veloce indicazione della quantità di umidità contenuta nel legno, non sono necessarie ulteriori impostazioni.

Il passaggio dalla modalità umidità legno alla modalità umidità costruzioni avviene tramite un confortevole cursore di selezione. Per controllare lo stato della batteria e il funzionamento, nel cappuccio di protezione dell'apparecchio è stato integrato un adattatore di riferimento.
